I acquired Ch.Chilcote’s Texas Ranger JH (Walker) as my stud dog in 2000.  I was to train him to hunt.  I did.  He is magnificent in the field just as he was in the ring.  He ranges perfectly and finds birds, throws picture book points he will hold for five minutes, retrieves to hand without marring the bird.  He gets me invited to hunt just so he can be watched.  He is already JH, and should be MH before the end of his career.  You have got to love this dog.  He breeds true.  His puppies are uniformly excellent.  I have had him for 4 years and already have 6 Champions in the puppies I have kept.  There will be many more to come.  What he can do for the topline and tail set is a dream come true.  He is OFA good.  He is at stud for approved bitches with OFA certification and a recent negative brucellosis titer.

THE SHOW-STOPPING WALKER

Walker puppies have had great success in the show ring to date and are lovable, capable dogs that will go on and earn their field titles.

My stud dog for all the Walker bitches as they come of age is Am/Can Ch. Triumphant’s Torrid Beat.  He was a sensational find for a follow up stud.  He also will be taken for his hunt test titles.   He will also be at stud after OFA certification June 2004

Britt Haven’s Spanky And Our Gang, whelped 15 October 2001 was one of  Trendy’s first pups.  John Thomas waited, patiently, 18 mos for this bitch.  He thinks it was worth it.  He is good with the camera and got some great shots of her over time.  I include some interesting ones

Hi Dr. Jack,

Spank is now a certifies Quail, Pheasant, and Chukka bird dog, and I am sure
she will qualify for Timber doodles and Grouse. We had a great two days of bird
hunting and good fellowship with 114 birds brought to bag. Every body liked
Spanky. She was even invited to come into our hosts lovely home and got
permission to sleep in bed with me. The original plan was for her to stay
in a crate in the basement, but when Mrs. Newcomb played with her a bit and
Spanky won her over. A credit to the super personality of the Britt Haven dogs.
Hats off to you Dr. Jack for such wonderful dogs.

			Love and kisses,

 					Spanky.

Buck’s Redheart  Tally whelped me 45 puppies, 31 by Walker .  They have achieved renown as great hunters from Maine to Western Pennsylvania .  Melissa Russell took a pup to Almaty , Kazakhstan .  He is named Tally Ho Rex of Britt Haven.  He grew up and with fine training became the National Champion Working Dog of Kazakhstan  against all breeds for the year 2002.  He went on to the Silk Road Conformation Show and took Best in Show.  Melissa and I both are very proud of Rex.  He now lives in Washington DC with Melissa.  I got a photo of him while he was with me a while.

I plan some 6 further litters this year.  I hold puppies 9 weeks, send them out socialized for dogs and people and naturally clean.  They have been immunized twice, appropriately wormed, and are guaranteed sound.  They are fine puppies destined to become fine dogs in the tradition of Britt Haven.  I also have access to some outside litters that have been studded by my dogs.
